Environmental Conservation

In Uganda, there is a continuous excessive felling down of trees and destruction of swamps by mostly the youth for money and fuel purposes, thus the degraded land is no longer productive and affected with climate change, and hence has resulted into low production / yields of food in the area leading to abject hunger and poverty.

CESA-Uganda responds to this challenge by building the capacity of rural communities in good environmental conservation measures and climate change mitigations like using ecological agriculture / sustainable agriculture, afforestation/reforestation, use of energy saving technologies like use of energy savings stoves, biogas and solar driers. Through using these solutions, the environmental is restored and food production increases with time.
